Kevin Ayers – Joy Of A Toy, 1969 LP Harvest SHVL 763.

This is a nearly nice (but frustrating) example of the LP Joy Of A Toy by Kevin Ayers. It was released on the Harvest label in 1969 – SHVL 763. The record is in mainly in EX+ condition. From the lack of marks by the spindle holes you can see that it has hardly ever been played. However, there is a big of a disaster on the last track of side two – All This Crazy Gift Of Time – which has two serious scratches that sound very bad for the first half of the track and then in the middle it ‘sticks’. Really annoying! But it may still be of use for all the other tracks? The laminated gatefold cover has just a small area of discolouration inside near the bottom edge and also does not sit quite flat. This is not serious at all and not easy to spot. I just thought it needed mentioning. Over all it grades as just about EX.
