Label variation only from Kevin Ayers Featuring Mike Oldfield & David Bedford - The Joy Of A Toy / Shooting At The Moon. Disc 1 has no Harvest Heritage logos on the labels either side.
Released in 1969, Joy of a Toy was Kevin Ayer’s debut solo album, accompanied on the LP by his Soft Machine colleagues Robert Wyatt, Mike Ratledge and Hugh Hopper. Joy features many of Ayers' most enduring songs from "The Lady Rachel" to "Girl on a Swing. Shooting at The Moon is actually Kevin Ayers and the Whole World, Ayers second album released in 1970.
Sleeve: Side opening gatefold laminated cover; all edges and corners remain true, fully readable spine , no splits, rips or writing - light age related handling marks and light ringwear- although probably sounds worse than it is - please see photos, graded solid VG+
Inner sleeves: Original inners sleeves, although subject to slight discolouration (see photos), but no rips or tears
Vinyl: Retains full gloss, light play only, a few wispy hairlines and light surface marks that are visible only under a strong light- nothing that interferes with play EX/EX+

Audio: Nice clean uninterrupted sound - no pips, pops or crackle - plays solid EX or better - excellent playing copy

Audio quality can differ from one pressing to another and unless you have two copies to compare it is sometimes difficult to know. Audio quality can also vary from one system to another and while I try to describe my audio experience it might not be the same as somebody else.
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
