Description
Really decent UK second pressing of Kevin Ayers charming, woozy psychedelic acid-folk-rock progressive solo debut from 1971. Identical to the first pressing apart from having EMI on the labels, this copy has been well looked after and offers great vinyl.
The gatefold sleeve is in very decent shape overall and is just prevented from grading excellent by some colour fading near the spine on the front cover and a little minor rippling to the back. Very solid shape overall.
The vinyl sits flat and while there's the odd hairline and mark, it's really very clean and plays like it. The odd bit of static/surface noise but really very little and the sound is bright and clear throughout - a lovely listen.
The yellow and green Harvest labels are in excellent shape and it comes with its original lined white inner sleeve in VG+ order (the poly bag lining has come a little unstuck on one side).
1st press examples go for silly money so here's a chance to pick up a classy 2nd press much more reasonably.
