Khan 1st Press UK LP Space shanty EX '72 Deram SDL-R-11 Psyche Prog Rock
Rare 1st Press UK LP released in 1972 on Deram Records. Cat: SDL-R-11. Comes in a gatefold sleeve.
Uncovered in the out back of N.S.W. this record is part of a recent collection stored and unplayed for the last 20 years. Collected during the 90's and mostly sourced from overseas kept in a cool dry cellar there are some tasty gems on offer and we look forward on listing them over the next few months.
Another one of those albums that is a prime example of one of the facets of Canterbury- style prog . Khan started much sooner than this release and came after Egg , Arzachel/Uriel (early Egg plus Hillage ) and was the first album after Hillage came back from university. They made one album and then he went on to GonG and the solo carreer we are all familiar with. tthis is solid prog rock with slight jazz influences ( Canterbury , right?) with a very solid line-up . The vocals are parsimonious but present , leaving the music do the talking.

There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuffs that produce a few light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Gatefold sleeve. Gatefold sleeve is in lovely condition with only the start of a tiny seam split on top centre edge and is in Excellent condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
