Oriental Dancing Music, Masfriphon 6390/1, Flex Liban, Made in Lebanon / Egypt 196(?)/197(?).

Cover is in VG+/VG++ (Check picture which is of actual cover, corner rubbed and little tear at mouth otherwise in great condition!).

Record / Vinyl is in VG++ (Light scuffs and cloud on vinyl which do not affect play, no problems whatsoever, clean).

So this has got me baffled, there is no information about the artists on here whatsoever, I have asked for the translation of the info at the back and well I got something about "Ayoub Alexandria Ladies" and Artistic Egyptian Association, Bank of Beirut...If anyone knows more about this LP, please come forward!!! Big thank you in advance.

So what's the music like?

Well as far as I can hear, there are no electric sounds. All traditional instruments. But the sounds are far out, swingy and groovy at times. Accordeon, Darbuka, Violin, Mizmar, Ney, Kanoun, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpets interplay beautifully to give us a top listen all the way through. With one track (well known Middle Eastern tune I can't quite remember) with an interpretation that recalls Salah Ragab, a trumpet part that is extremely Funky! Ouch! Killer...Great Accordeon, Clarinet work too that give it a slightly Gypsy feel to it all. So is this Egyptian or Lebanese? 60's? 70's? Ah la la I need help and answers! Must be RARE!!! There is no information on the Label (Masfriphon) on Web whatsoever...crazy! Please bid accordingly. Good luck with your bids.
