Description
Blue Jay 110 by Lucky Plank: "Hey Hey Baby" b/w "I Was Only Dreaming". The mysterious singer Lucky Plank puts out with an insinuating nasal rockabilly/bopper side, backed with a fine hick country ballad on the B. This label looks like it's an early King custom press. The Blue-Jay label was reputed to have been issued from Newark, Ohio. Clean and bright, glossy and new looking paper labels. The vinyl is very glossy, bright and newish on both sides, with a few paper scuffs, and few needle line marks on the glassy surface. These are shallow, and don't sound. This is being listed at a bargain opening bid because there is a significant defect in the deadwax. The record has a fine crack, around the edge of the label for about 3/4s of an inch on both sides, then blossoms out into the deadwax, on both sides. The crack is not close to the grooves on either side. The crack does not go into the grooves. The crack does not affect the sound of the record in any way. The crack has been cemented with super glue and stabilized. Two of the pictures show this. Here's a 45 that appeals to collectors for several reasons, and not just because of it's uncontested musical greatness . Lucky Planks extreme rarity, combined with the label rarity, plus the "any Ohio 45" collector demand from Ohio record collectors, makes this 45 a gotta have it disc. A side grades VG++. The B-side grades a strong VG+. YOUR SATISFACTION IS GUARANTEED. PLEASE SEE MY FEEDBACK AND READ THE TERMS OF THE AUCTION.
