Description

This record is the most obscure LP I've come across in a long time. If anyone out there knows about this record or the bands please elucidate me. Nuevas Caras or New Faces is the title of this. It was pressed in Nicaragua in 1969 on the Istmo label. I'm assuming the bands are from that region as well. It's really a great sounding compilation - fuzzy guitars, cheesey organs, screaming Spanish language vocals. Interesting versions of nuggets like the Stones' "Complicated" , the Animals'"Don't Bring Me Down" and a great version of Dylan's "Quinn the Eskimo" as well as rocking originals. The bands- Los Duros, Los Rollings, Los Genios, Los Fermons, Los Hollyboys, Los Raiders, and Los Panzers. This stuff would go over well on the turntable at your next beat stomper of a Latinized psychedelicized Shindig. The cover is in VG to VG + minor wear small ball point pen scribble very minimal, the vinyl I would say VG to VG+ a few noticable light scratches but plays excellently.....................Cheers and check out my seller page for more groovy gear.
