Description
Up for sale is... the Excellent 1959 MILES DAVIS - Kind of Blue - the Legendary Modal Jazz Masterpiece, 12" Vinyl LP - this is the record with John Coltrane, Julian "Cannonball" Adderley, Bill Evans & Others - on Columbia. This is the crimson 2-eye Columbia label; there were MANY, many pressings of this record, thus it can be quite tricky determining the exact pressing - I believe that this is a 1963 American pressing - there are a few important things to note that bring me to this conclusion: on the front & back of the sleeve Julian *Adderley* is misspelled as "Adderly" ... also, tracks 1B "All Blues" & 2B "Flamenco Sketches" are listed in the opposite order on the back of the sleeve; the Ca# is CL 1355 ... For these reasons this is a very nice & decently rare pressing to have!
The sleeve is approximately in VG condition; it IS 50 years old, so some typical aging (face, edge, ring wear) is to be expected. The color is nice & the seams are all still together. The vinyl is approximately in VG-VG+ condition. It HAS been played & well enjoyed, and may still be enjoyed for years to come - you may hear some pops/cracks in the quietest passages or in-between tracks, but it should play through without any skips. There is a SMALL ballpoint ink mark on the label. Please check what's pictured for your own judgement!
