Description
I'm starting to list a collection of about 200 lps and 45s put together by my wife between about 1969 and 1984. Few of these have been played more than 2 or 3 times as, generally, they were recorded to tape and then put away. About 75% are in Near Mint store bought condition and look as if they've just been purchased. They were usually bought within a few days of being issued so, not only are they in pristine condition, they're mostly first pressings. Plus the lps all have their original inner sleeves and any inserts. The collection has remained untouched in a cupboard at my wife's parents house since she moved out and got married in 1984. If I find any blemishes or faults with any of these records I will point them out. Even the slightest shelf wear is absent from many. If you require additional photos of anything please let me know.
This is a copy of the LP In The Court Of The Crimson King - An Observation By King Crimson, UK very early pressing from 1969 on Island ILPS 9111.
The stamped matrix no.s are ILPS 9111 A v 2 1 2 1 and ILPS 9111 B // 4 1 1
The vinyl is in Excellent condition with just a few very faint paper lines, only noticeable under a strong light. Nothing to affect play.The labels are clean with no stickers, writing, scuffs, spindle marks or stains.
The matt gatefold cover, printed by E. J, Day, London, is in Excellent condition. There are no tears, stains, creases, shelf wear, stickers or writing. The spine is perfectly legible. The only blemishes I can find are a very faint crease to the opening on the back, about 4 inches down from the top, and tiny scuffs to the bottom of the spine and bottom opening edges. As close to Near Mint as you're likely to find 43 years after being released.
The white poly-lined inner sleeve just has the usual faint browning / ageing to the edges.
