King Crimson "Discipline" LP - Excellent condition - 1st pressing? Sent with Australia Post Standard Service.
This might not be a first UK pressing, but I think it is. I have had it in my collection for at least 30 years. I'm fairly certain that I purchased it when it was first released, but my memory may be faulty. It's always been my favourite Crimson album.
The vinyl is in at least VG+ condition - in fact, there are no spindle marks, and only the very faintest of light scratches. I was able to detect a couple of light crackles on one track that I would not have noticed if not actively looking for faults. The record has been graded visually, and also by listening to it. I have always kept my records in plastic dust jackets, played them on good equipment with a light stylus and moderate tracking force.
The cover is in good condition, but less so than the record. It's probably still VG+ on the Goldmine grading scale. There are no split seams, tears, sticker or writing. However, there are some obvious although unobtrusive signs of wear. There is slight ring wear and some minor creases along the spine and one visible crease along the bottom on both the front and back of the cover.There is also a crease of about 3cm to the right of the ring design in the middle. There is also some slight abrasions along the edges in places. However, all taken into account, the cover is sturdy, and the faults fairly unobtrusive.
Records are packed in a double layer of stiff cardboard, with the vinyl outside the cover to minimise the chance of compression damage.
