We are not a record dealers but just selling a few LPs that we no longer listen too.
This LP is King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
We realise that quality gradings of LPs are very subjective. We will best describe what we see and what we hear, but can vary depending what equipment its played on - we have played the LPs all the way through on a rega planar2 with recently fitted new cartridge.
What we heard
Side 1 - Like all Crimson LPs we have ever listened to this has some crackle and its especially noticeable in the quieter play - this happens which I guess is why people buy CDs. Other than crackle we only heard three or 4 pops on the final track - but certainly no skips or jumps.
Side 2 - you can hear the crackles and pops more on track 1 because there are more quieter moments and in the quieter moments of track 2. Other than crackles just three clicks heard in the first part of track1.
This has been in storage in our wardrobe for a while so it may benefit from a professional clean.
What we see
Cover - no writing and its pretty good and clean for age. No musty smells or mould. The spine is still square but with some rubbing on the bottom edge. The only real blemish is on the front cover - a sticker removal mark in the top right hand corner. The inside is clean and free from writing - maybe best to see the photos as no major blemish to report.
LP - Reasonably clean and dust free with some fine surface marks and scratches. Nothing that results in skips or jumps. LP sits pretty flat on the turntable - but some arm movement when the record is played - no serious warping.
Labels - clean - no writing - no significant spindle marks.

Side 1 PORKY LP59111 - Then its really hard to be sure A1 or maybe A3?
Side 2 PECKO LP59111 - B1 or maybe B3?
Inner - original - age related colouring - a tear approx 3” on one side where the LP has cut through. A cut of approx 1 inch at the botton again where the lLP has cut through. A number written in top corner.
If you are looking for a crackle/static free LP please do not bid on this LP. We will of course accept returns but as we have spent some considerable time listening to the LP and have have described its looks and audio as accurately as we can the buyer will have to pay the return postage. If this is not acceptable then please do not bid. Thank you.
Postage will be by Royal Mail second class small package - In proper record packaging.
