Description

CURRENTLY RUNNING AN ADDITIONAL "3 DAY DELAY" ON DISPATCH [i.e 3Ds+3Ds]

PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION IN FULL...FIRST!
An original 1st press of ITCOTCK on the UK Island label from 1969. Matrix 4/2. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed by E J Day - this is indicative of 1st issue. Also included is the original plastic bag warning inner sleeve date coded to Sep 1969 [099]. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) Ok, so first things first...this copy will not suit someone looking for a clean copy. You would need to be someone who can compromise in a few spots on the audio side - do bear in mind that this is a highly sought after record. It has seen a moderate amount of use and you will spot a few light marks per side. One of the marks does sound, even though it is not feelable, and this does give you some idea of just how fussy this particular title is. It is very very hard to find this title playing great all the way through and we are pricing this copy way down because it does have faults. In summary, I would grade side 1 at mostly VERYGOOD and side 2 at mostly VERYGOOD+..but with deviations in specific tracks as follows... Side 2 plays very nice for the most part, but that superfussy track 'Moonchild' is below par. Expect a good few crackles in the first half and some ticks toward the end. I would describe that track as 'acceptable' and no better. Side 1, overall, grades lower. There's a bit of low-level crackle in 'WIND' and then the mark mentioned above causes several ticks in the first half of the final track. In summary a perfectly acceptable player that will suit someone on a limited budget, or as a holding copy until that illusive top level copies surfaces. But please do be sure that you can accept the apparent faults before purchasing.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has clearly been looked after. Clean front and back without the usual heavy wear you can find. The interior looks great with one signature in the top right corner. Edge wear is relatively light and the spine doesn't look too bad either. A bit of wear here and there, but the text is just about mostly legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) A bit of ageing and a name written. No splits though.
