Description
Following a move of house I need to reduce the size of my record collection and will be selling 100's of these in the coming weeks. Having had so much time at home has meant that I have been able to arrange the collection back into some semblance of order.
I am now offering classic records from 1960s onwards. These include a fine collection by Bob Dylan. All will be advertised together to help reduce postage per item for multiple buyers; I have a large number of other albums available; please look at the full list of items I am selling.
On offer here is an early UK pressing of the album 'In The Court Of The Crimson King' on Island 9111 from 1969. This pressing has the runouts ILPS 9111 AV 2 1217 and ILPS 9111 B//4 1212 and the sleeve reads 'Printed and made by E J Day, London.' These identifiers make this a rare find.
The vinyl is graded VG and has superficial hairline blemishes to the playing surfaces. There are no feelable scratches likely to significantly effect sound quality beyond the wear expected from an album 53 years old. The original outer gate-fold sleeve (graded G/G+) is very shelf worn to the edges at the front and to the spine with a few tears from tape removal (see photos). This version is rarely for sale and is therefore a valuable find for the serious collector. Play-testing produced a positive result.
