In the Court of the Crimson King (subtitled An Observation by King Crimson) is the debut studio album by the British rock group King Crimson, released on 10 October 1969 on Island Records in the UK, Atlantic Records in the USA. The album reached number five on the British charts, and is certified gold in the United States, where it reached #28 on the Billboard 200.

King Crimson is a rock band. Formed in London in 1968 (but featuring a transatlantic line-up since 1981), the band are widely recognized as a seminal group in the development of progressive rock (although the group members resist the label). The band have incorporated diverse influences and approaches during their five-decade history (including jazz and folk music, classical and experimental music, psychedelic rock, hard rock and heavy metal, new wave, gamelan, industrial, electronica, as well as balancing highly structured compositions against abstract improvisational sections and an interest in pop songs. The band has a large following, despite garnering little radio or music video airplay.

My research shows there are several versions of this album.  This one has the 1969 Pink Ring label on the disc, but may be a re-issue, indicated by no date on the label.  The record, sleeve (may be non-original) and jacket all appear visually to be in excellent condition.  I'm not an expert on grading and I don't have a working turntable.
