Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Play Grade Excellent Minus (Supremely sharp and clear sound, very minimal audible crackle throughout the tracks, very minimal background noise in between tracks, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, some very light barely audible pops/clicks on moonchild on side 2 for 7 seconds or so. Excellent Minus sound quality (Playtested 30th November 2007)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Excellent Minus (There are quite a few very light superficial hairline surface marks covering both sides of the record but they are definitely not overpowering and are reasonably scarce, in fact the majority of the light marks are barely visible (apart from under bright light) tiny hairlines and few paper traces from the inner sleeve where the record has been taken in and out of the inner sleeve, there is also 1 feelable light scratch on the record and this slightly affect playback by causing some of the light pops/clicks mentioned above, this scratch is tiny and is only 2mm in length and is probably invisible to the untrained eye,  looks to have been played on a few occasions by looking at spindle marks but has been very well looked after, labels are nice with very minimal wear to the spindle holes, there is no writing/pen marks on the labels, there are no rips/tears to the label, there is a nice sheen to the disc and it is one of the better copies I have come across of this LP)

Album Cover Grade: Excellent (no creasing to the front corners, no creasing to the rear corners, there is no spine splitting and there is barely any spine rubbing/wear and the spine is clearly legible, no top edge splits and there is barely any wear/rubbing to the top edges, no bottom edge splits but there is some slight wear/rubbing to the bottom edge, slight corner rubbing, no rips or tears in the sleeve, hardly any ringwear on the front that is noticeable but there is some slight ringwear on the back that is noticeable, there are no pen marks/writing on the sleeve, the sleeve is very clean and hardly suffers from any discolouration or staining,very sturdy sleeve, overall a great sleeve)

MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
