Description
A 1st press of ITWOP on the UK Island label from 1970. Matrix A1/B1 - very 1st cut. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original textured cover printed by E J Day. Also included is an original Island blue inner sleeve with correct 'Basing Street' address. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Absolutely superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of very light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. This copy is borderline faultless. We are talking - no background interference at all from start to finish. Nothing but silence in those slow builds, or when the clock is ticking, nothing at all.. nada..zip. I will do my usual 'catch all' - a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. But in reality you will never better this copy no matter how long you look...FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex) Front and back are in superb condition with very little handling wear visible at all. The interior is looks to be in superb condition - no issues at all. Edge wear is very light for this title. The text on the spine is mostly legible - with just a couple of letters in 'Poseidon' obscured by wear. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity thanks to the heavy-card employed in the construction.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing, one spot of wear...and an address written on one side.
