Description

An original 1st press of ITWOP on the UK Island label. Matrix A1/B1. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day textured cover. Also included is the original plastic bag warning inner sleeve date coded to 04/70 - one month prior to 1st release. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen very light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nigh on silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Don't think I've auditioned a better copy it's a real stunner. Even in the quiet slow-build moments a pretty much silent background - which is not often the case. Lovely clean and clear audio these early Island copies are superb for audio. Interference is borderline non-existent. You might detect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. 
Cover (Vg+) In great condition and seems to have avoided the worst surface wear that typically exhibits on these early textured copies. There's a touch of wear bottom and top - then there's a sticker removal mark in the top right [coloured in]. The rear is in similarly good condition with just a touch of surface wear at the foot. The interior looks great with no issues at all. There's a bit of edge wear here and there. There's a bit more wear on the spine - don't expect to make anything much out. Overall the cover retains very good rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) No splits, but writing on one side.
