Description
I am selling a UK 1st pressing of King Crimson's prog masterpiece In The Wake Of Poseidon - SIGNED BY ROBERT FRIPP!
The record is on the pink Island Records label with the large white 'i' logo (ILPS-9127).
The matrix numbers are A1/B1 - making it a true 1st pressing.
But what makes this item even more special is that it's been signed by Robert Fripp inside the textured gatefold sleeve (see pictures). There is no COA but I have no reason to believe that it wasn't signed by the legendary guitarist. The autograph has been covered with sellotape to protect it.
The record is generally in very good condition. On the opening (quiet) track, there is quite a bit of surface noise and a brief skip, and there are a few hairlines here and there that cause crackles, but on the whole it sounds great. It could probably do with a good clean.
The textured gatefold sleeve is in very good condition, and the spine - while worn and no longer readable - is still pretty sturdy.
All in all, a great collector's item for prog fans!
