  DESCRIPTION: King Crimson- In The Wake Of Poseidon. 1970 UK pressing with machine stamped A4U/B3U matrix, Island Pink Rim labels in textured EH Day gate-fold sleeve. You will struggle to find a cleaner sounding or better looking copy than this.

CONDITION (VINYLS/COVER): VG+/EX+. Vinyl is really clean with a deep dark  sheen. Not much sign that this has been played.  Tilted to light it shows 2 faint light hairlines on side 2 that probably prevent EX (or better) grade but have no effect at all on the playback which is Excellent throughout. Played majority of this  today on my budget deck. Sits flat on the turntable. Plays Excellent, possibly better, despite all of the quiet and ambient passages. Music is clear, clean, vibrant and loud throughout. Textured cover is the best I have seen on any early pressing of this LP. It is firm and square and has minimal edge wear, minimal corner wear and minimal creasing.  Great shape to fully and easily legible spine. Really clean inside to gate-fold sleeve.  Immaculatey clean labels with no spindle wear. No writing. rips, stickers or sticker tears. Check out the photos.

GRADING SYSTEM: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades.
