Hello, I have been on eBay as a buyer and seller since October 1999 with a 100% feedback record, so bid and buy with confidence!
Up for sale today is a great copy of King Crimson's classic In the Court of the Crimson King in 1969. Best of all, this is a rare white label promo copy (stereo), issued in very limited quantities to radio stations for advance play.
The vinyl plays Near Mint. No issues whatsoever except for one or two pops and some crackle during the quiet parts of the song Moonchild. (Moonchild is a song filled with various odd electronic sounds, followed by very quiet passages, and it is well-known for having some background noise even on the very best copies of the album). Visually, the album looks like it sounds - Near Mint. Sparkles and shines, no marks or scuffs. The snowy white labels are also in Near Mint condition.
The cover is a solid Near Mint Minus (or Excellent Plus). All seams, spine and corners are complete and firm. Only minors issue are some wear at the corners, and a small push on the upper right-hand corner (as viewed from the front). The album cover also has the bright orange Promo sticker as well as the clear transparent King Crimson sticker that came with all the original albums (see photos).
The album also comes with its original inner sleeve. But, after I purchased the album, I stored the vinyl in an archival inner sleeve, which I then placed inside a generic white outer cover in order to best protect the originally-issued cover, inner sleeve and vinyl from damage (see photo). The album will be shipped as described here for maximum protection.
The seller from whom I purchased this album many years ago stated it was the best example of this rare white label promo version of Court of the Crimson King he had ever come across. I have to agree. I have owned other copies of this rare album, include the ultra-rare mono promo, and have never had a better one than the one I am selling here.
I am starting the bidding at a relatively high amount in order to protect my investment (starting bid is still much less than I paid for it). The album will be sent first class mail, signature of receipt required.
