They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute.

King Crimson LP In the Court of the Crimson King 1983, Moody Blues Hype Sticker!
In the early 80’s when I was managing a Sound Odyssey record store, we ordered a box of 25 copies of this Crimson album, which was then issued on the black E.G. label. I saw this copy with a hype sticker and bought it for myself. When I realized that it wasn’t a King Crimson hype sticker, I went on the hunt to find out whose it was.
It turned out to be the hype sticker for The Moody Blues’ new album, “The Present.” This is scarcely odd, because King Crimson and The Moody Blues recorded for two entirely different record companies.
It must be that the same plant was consigned to press both albums, and there was some cross-pollination.
Vinyl--- EX/EX. Both sides look nearly brand new.
Plates--- EG KC-1-A/ EG KC-1-B.
Cover--- EX. Shrink has protected the cover nicely. Bottom right corner has a small amount of missing slick. Shrink does have some shelfwear from me playing it over the years.
Hype Sticker--- EX.
Gatefold--- NM. Gatefold has never been opened.
Labels--- NM/NM. NO SPINDLE MARKS.
Inner Sleeve--- EX generic white. NO SPLITS.

(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
