King Crimson Lizard ORIGINAL White Label Promo LP NM Vinyl!
Cover---Thanks to the glossy textured slick, the seams have remained all intact and strong. However, there is damage to the bottom center seam of the back cover. (See photo.) Also, the front bottom cover has an area that appears to have had a sticker removed (probably the promo sticker), leaving a raised and bubbled area. Too bad. I would have loved to have had the sticker. The black hype sticker with the track listing is still present, and in good condition, thankfully. The gatefold is clean, strong inner seam, very light and little dirt.
Inner Sleeve--- Promo’s were issued with generic white sleeves, so as not to waste the expense of the custom Atlantic inner sleeves. Good condition, one seam split. Easy to replace if you want.
Vinyl---Stunning beautiful near mint vinyl, both sides. Labels have the two prerequisites for Atlantic originals of that time: two concentric rings on the labels, as well as the 1841 Broadway address. Trail-offs both have STA plates, as well as the “PR” initials, both sides. Under a bright bare bulb, both sides of this LP look stunning brand new.
Stupid-Rare copy! If you’re a Crimson fan, this is your copy. If you know a Crimson fan, this is their Christmas present.
(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl. However, I am happy to by request. As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
