Description

Full-length LP titled "The Cheerful Insanity of Giles, Giles & Fripp" repressed by Deram Records (SPA 423) in the early 1970's? U.K. pressing with turquoise and silver labels. Originally released in 1968 before Robert Fripp and Michael Giles formed King Crimson with Greg Lake, Ian McDonald and Pete Sinfield. This is nothing like a King Crimson record other than a few moments of Fripp's distinctive guitar solos. Off-center pop/rock with goofy narrations between songs. The songs draw from a wide range of styles: folk, jazz, classical, pure pop and a few sections have psychedelic touches. Very odd and enjoyable but not progressive.

Cover is in VG+ condition with a crease at lower right of front, ring scuffing of laminate, import sticker on front and has a ringmark on backside...still in very nice shape (see pic). NO RESERVE.
