Very early matrices-A2/B4 Stampers 1 2 / 1 1
The paler and rarer all pink Island label format in excellent condition. No damage, no mottling, no peeling, no discoloration .The paler colour characteristic of the very earliest pressing. Later copies were darker in colour.
Vinyl
Thick and chunky. Three surface scratches but I can observe NO ugly blemishes. Excellent high gloss sheen with a thick quality press.
Sleeve
Earliest E J Day with the wobbly box on inner left face confirming THE very first issue gatefold sleeve. No tears or rips .Very solid and heavy gatefold sleeve. Quite clean and has a nice feel. Front face –strong coloration which remains unfaded and a tiny bit of surface damage on top right corner. Spinal wear moderate . Reverse cover and inner faces excellent. Very Good condition overall.
Vinyl
Thick quality pressing. Excellent sheen. Three scratches not visible until more closely inspected. Handsome looking vinyl.
Audio
Surface noise detected during the quieter parts of the music/opening grooves.Three scratches are audible which produce a few ticks/clicks during play back. Nice loud cut UK first press conveying sharp and warm tones. Pops and crackles of course mainly during Moonchild, this record notorious for its sound problems. Overall grading side 1 very good/ex. Side 2 Good/very good .
