King Tubby Meets Jacob Miller In A Tenement Yard "E-E Saw Dub" This LP can be truly called one of the last great 'lost' dub albums. According to reggae historian David Katz "The album you hold in your hands is easily one of the rarest dub albums to ever surface in Jamaica; because of the specific ingredients of its creation, it's also one of the most unique."
The album features the might Jacob Miller/Inner Circle riddims played by The Fatman Rhythm section and mixed by the great dub master, King Tubby. The album was released on a mis-labelled tiny vinyl pressing back in 1976. Known by collectors as E-E Saw Dub, it originally came in a plain sleeve and was incorrectly labelled as an E-E Saw 12-inch single 'City Of The Weak Heart' by Earl Zero. However the 'single' contains twelve Killer Miller / Fatman Rhythm Section riddims dubbed up by King Tubby.
The unique sound is a result of the mixing techniques of King Tubby alongside the Moog and APR synthesisers of Bernard 'Touter' Harvey. Touter is known for playing organ, keyboards and Moog with Inner Circle and Bob Marley as well as on several other reggae albums.
Featured on this timeless album are many of Millers classics riddims, such as Roman Soldiers, Dreada Dread, Lick Weed, Tenement Yard, City of the Weak Heart and Careless Ethiopians. Each track is expertly broken down and reconstructed by the dub master Tubby, overlaid with the skills of Touter on the synth. I can't pick out individual tracks as each has stood the test of time (ok, 'Jah Jah Land Dub' does it for me!) and each is a dub master class. The use of the synth is a unique touch and adds a whole new element and feel to the music.
This is an essential dub album from that 'golden age' of reggae music, which should be owned by any serious dub reggae lion.

A nice copy, has some surface marks which cause some light crackle mostly only noticeable in between tracks.

Plays very nicely, No jumps or serious scratches. Has the occasional click, & some light crackle, noticeable mainly in between tracks.
Label Condition: EXCELLENT-MINT
Mint bar a small "2" on the A side as per photo, has some very light spindle marks but no ring wear.
Cover Condition: EXCELLENTGeneric disco bag.

UK Record Collector Grading System:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (US version of this term: Near Mint): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (US version of this term: VG++): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (US version of this term: VG): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits etc.
