Description

Back in the '80's, the Kingsmen Quartet recorded a project that featured a song that had a baseball theme. Even though I was a Disc Jockey at the time at a local station, I don't recall the name of the song. To promote this album and this featured song, they sent autographed baseballs to many radio stations accross the nation. I don't know how many were sent out, but one came to our station, and I was able to get possession of it. The ball is autographed by all the members of the quartet at that time. What makes this a collector's item is that three of the members of the quartet, Jim Hamill (lead singer and leader of the group), Eldridge Fox (owner and gospel music legend) and Anthony Burger (piano player and also a gospel music legend) are all now deceased. Other signatures on this collectible baseball are Arthur Rice (now with the Kingdom Heirs), Gary Dillard (musician), Greg Fox (drummer) Gary Shepherd (tenor), Ed Crawford (baritone) and Ray "Pee Wee" Reese (bass singer). The baseball is in very great shape and if you are a lover of Southern Gospel Music, you will want to have this in your collection. Thank you for looking, God bless and happy bidding!
