May the Lord bless you real good and may you be lifted through God’s love above all the cares of this life as you listen to this record. It is not made by professional singers, but by a band of blood-bought pilgrims on their way home who realize that without God we aren’t anything at all. BIBLE WAY CHURCH was born in the fall of 1967 in Kingsport, Tennessee at the home of TOMMY JESSEE when about thirty Christians met for a prayer meeting. The presence of the Lord met with us in such a way that we could not doubt the leading of the Lord to establish an independent, fundamental, pre-millenial bible believing church. We pray that we will always have a church where men and women, boys and girls can meet God and worship our Savior in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). We believe that God wants his people to live in such a manner of holiness and separation as will bring glory and honor to his name. II Corinthians tells us that we are to come out from among the world and be a separate people. If we are to enjoy the blessings of His Love and lead a lost, hell- bound world to Him, we MUST and we WILL deny ungodliness and worldly lusts; live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world. We praise God for the folk who make up our choir and special music in the services at BIBLE WAY from time to time. Should you attend one of our services and hear the choir, you will see them lift their hands to praise the Lord and, more than likely, they will stop the leader to testify between the verses. You see, we believe that churches should go by the Holy Spirit and not a program on a piece of paper that prohibits folk from hollering AMEN ! Proverbs 10:7 says in portion: "The memory of the just is blessed. . . . . ” With this passage of scripture we ded- icate these songs of Zion in memory of RHONDA ANN RIFFE, age eleven, the first member of our church to be taken thru death. I shall never forget on Sunday morning, April 20, 1969. I opened the doors of the church and RHONDA came down the isle, ALREADY SAVED, and joined the church after giving her testimony of the saving grace of Christ. We baptized her a couple of Sundays later near Cloud’s Ford bridge. On Friday night, June 6, 1969 just after a service during a revival meeting, RHONDA met death in an accident in front of the church. What a comfort and consolation to know that "WHEN I RIDE ON THE CLOUDS WITH MY LORD" we shall meet RHONDA and all the Saints who made the journey on ahead. They will return with Jesus when He comes to rapture the church from this world of sin.
