THE KINKS Arthur (or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire) US Reprise RS 6366 1st press two tone labels exceptionally nice condition
You are bidding on a rare 1969 'blue label' original This LP is in exceptionally nice condition and has been carefully stored in my collection for over 40 years - you are going to struggle to find a better condition original 1st press copy!
The sleeve:
US sleeve of this vintage are notorious for ageing and wearing badly being matt printed stock paper pasted over thick card and survivors in this condition are getting increasingly hard to find, This copy however is in exceptionally good condition with bright and vibrant and colours - there is the merest hint of storage wear to front cover and edges (hardly discernable). The rear sleeve and gatefold I cannot spot a defect or wear on either. The spine is solid/strong and and easily readable, there are no other other defects. This is a seriously good condition sleeve!
The Queen Victoria die cut 'pull' lyric sheet is in equally good condition being flat and square with no obvious defects.
Furthermore, the package is complete with the original Reprise paper sleeve inner bag advertising other acts on the labels roster - this unfortunately has tear in it - I can however supply another near perfect bag from a slightly later issue, high bidder to advise on check out if they require this at check out.
The LP:
This is a 1st press issue with the two colour/tone red and tan labels - later pressings were all tan. The LP has been graded visually under a strong light and retains a deep shine and lustre (which makes it hard to photograph - note: the lines you see are not defects, but are reflections)There are no spindle marks on the label I can't see a defect on the vinyl and quite possibly it may never have been played This LP has been stored carefully out of direct daylight in my collection for over 40 years.
Overall I have graded the LP as Ex > Ex-.

- European post (dependent if it offered by the destinations postal service) will be tracked and insured @ £14.75.

Note: post/shipping to outside Europe has dramatically increased in recent times, please bear that mind when bidding. As a a guide post to North America will be in the order of £18 tracked and insured for a single LP in packed well in a purpose mailer.
My default UK shipping is Royal Mail Next Day Special delivery as it both insured and tracked as well as an expedited service. If you want a cheaper form of shipping, you will need to contact me beforehand - accepting the risk of the item being sent uninsured and not tracked. Guide price 1st Class £4.20, 1st Class signed for £5.20.
