Description
Retirement approaches, the wife says "downsize!" Here is my copy of The Kinks' "Kinda Kinks." I purchased this album new in 1965. It has never since been in other hands. I am a record fanatic, and this record has been played twice, both to make reference copies, on a Thorens 125 turntable with a Stanton 685 EEE stylus tracking at .35 grams. The vinyl has never been touched, except by the edges and the label, nor has it ever been cleaned (except the dust was removed by a discwasher system). There are no "spider trails" on the labels, nor are there fingerprints, scratches, scuffs or any other sign of use on the grooves. The inner sleeve is the original, and suffers from no seam splits or other damage, other than the folded corners which Reprise did to insert it into the sleeve. The outer sleeve is in incredible shape, with only a slight ring at the bottom of the front (the record did reside in a shelf beside its mates until the Japanese came out with the resealable poly liners in the early '80's). On the rear, the slightest bit of ring rubbing and some "foxing" from age on Reprise's non acid-free paper. This record is nearly fifty years old and looks and plays like it did in the mid '60's. I'm not giving these records away. They are quite rare in general and in this condition are nearly unsurpassed except by the sealed copies, of which there are only a few around. At the local Beatles Fest, a copy of "You Really Got Me," no where near as nice as this record, went for $175.
The scans are of the actual item, and the larger scans have been "wedded" in Photoshop, but not enhanced nor "airbrushed" to remove flaws.

All of them were purchased upon release by myself at retail music shops. None are cut-outs, seconds, used (other than by myself as noted above) or abused in any way and are in virtually perfect condition. I very rarely use the term "mint condition," but other than normal aging and wear to the covers, these records are pure mint.

The handling charge is to cover the cost of the mailer, extra sleeves, poly liner and other additions which will keep this purchase as safe as I can.
