THE KINKS: KINDA KINKS MONO Reprise R-6173 original 1st press mono 'steamboat' tri-colour label
By 1965 mono LPs increasinglyin the USA had been started to be phased out as stereo had gained significant traction and preference by the record buying public, therefore mono LPs were produced in lower numbers to their stereo counterparts and far harder find, particulary in the condition offered here. Reprise 'steamboat' tri-colour original label are becoming increasingly hard to find.
This LP is great condition. US LPs because of their type of manufacture - pasted slicks on thick card stock often did not wear well this copy this copy is an exception and is great condition for a near 60 year old LP. The LP includes the original Reprise inner sleeve advertising other acts on the label.
The sleeve exhibits some minor shelf wear along the edges a very light/mild dirt wear towards the bottom edge on the front and rear of the sleeve, there is a neat steel punch metal ring in the top right hand corner - see photo. Other than that sleeve exhibits no major defects and is graded VG++.
The LP has been graded visually under a strong light and retains a deep shine and lustre (which makes it hard to photograph - note: the lines you see are not defects, but are reflections) as such it is graded Ex. Please study the pictures as they form part of the description. I also believe I grade conservatively and err on the side safety if in doubt.
