Kinks Preservation Act 1 RARE FIRST PRESSING. Beautiful copy of the classic British band's 1973 album, on the RCA Records label. First pressing, as indicated by the bright-orange label and Dynaflex notice. A concept album, Preservation Act 1 did not sell well, peaking at No. 177 on the Billboard 200. But it was hailed by critics, including Ken Barnes, who wrote in Rolling Stone that this was a "highly listenable, enjoyable album." Vinyl LP and cover are both NM, with the record like new and the cover showing none of the usual ringwear. Great collectable! In fact I bought this for my own collection, only to discover I already had it....
