1967 original release ““A VINTAGE EXCLUSIVE””SUPER rare and considered to be the most difficult to locate. The rarest Kinks album release .In 1967 , the LP on its market launch, did not shine with the fans and sold in low quantities, so was quickly deleted , hence the apparent rarity! Mono versions are the one to acquire and are far more valued in the collectors’ arena than the stereo sister version. The stereo records are more cheaper (see RRPG catalogue) and are not so highly sought after from this particular release.
Very FIRST mono pressing of this sensational Kinks album release . Highly polished vinyl . Incredible aural delivery . Complete with original PYE advertising inner sleeve. Impossible to locate in this complete format and the album sleeve is the best ever viewed. Rare opportunity to own this monster, heavy weight slab in sensational condition . One of the finest examples !
A-1 * M B-1*M
Unlaminated, single, first issue G&L patents pending sleeve, with UNDAMAGED flip backs on reverse. Very decent example of a fragile sleeve and in excellent/+ condition . An excellent solid and square spine. Edge wear NIL on top, with minimal wear only on lower edge. The silver coloration is beautifully preserved with minor fading only on outer faces.Very minor creasing and an ultra clean reverse.
Only extremely faint ring wear on outer faces. Impossible to locate in this superb ,hardly handled condition . I doubt whether a better example could be located as this sleeve is notorious for massive damage. Final upgrade to be sure.
Vinyl
Very lightly played and very carefully handled. Thick pressing, monster slab and a pleasure to view. What a tremendous feel to this vintage, heavy weight classic . The surfaces have a mirror like sheen , glass like and highly polished, and any surface marks disappear beneath its staggering reflection. If angled against a strong light, several longer hairlines are visible with some light surface marks.The surfaces are ultra smooth to the touch and make no mistake, this is an absolutely remarkable piece of vinyl and represents true investment quality. Hardly any 41 year old classics are found in this superb condition. No ugly blemishes and a superb exhibit .
Labels- PINK PYE format, 1st issue labels, in excellent condition, with a few spindle lines visible . No graffiti, no rips nor tears, no damage of any kind. The most amazing feature is the concise central hole, where there is no wear at all. Remarkable examples and vinyl sits tight on the spindle, confirming that this vinyl is still fresh after all these years .
Audio
It plays as superbly as its appearance. Tones remain crisp and clear. The clarity of the aural reception is truly unbelievable and is graded without any hesitation in the excellent category. Monotone delivery heard at its very best. Will not surpass this audio, as there is little to fault, with no audible scratches nor any other surface disturbance of any significance to mention, save for some surface between tracks .
There is a tremendous depth of sound, as the tones are delivered in sensational style, with a concise definition and a razor sharp edge.
A very collectable , highly priced album. Becoming harder to locate and almost impossible to find in this excellent condition .And to put the icing on the cake, comes complete with the highly elusive original PYE advertising inner sleeve.
One of the very best examples of this classic pop psyche .
