Description

This is an original US Reprise label mono copy of their great 1966 LP. This was a designated promo with a promo sticker on the front cover and a promo stamp on the back (see scans). The cover is VG++. It would be M- except for a couple of long scratches on the back. These type of scratches were common on promo copies of records back at the time as they were deliberately done by the record company to ensure that the record could not be sold in a store. The labels are perfect and without spindle marks. The vinyl is M- overall. There are a few small very faint wispy hairline scuffs which show up under a very strong light. These are certainly not audible and this copy plays M-. The vinyl on this copy is bright and glossy and has none of the cloudy haze that was so common on US Reprise pressings at that time. Everyone knows that this LP was recorded in mono and that a mono copy offers a far superior mix than rechanneled stereo. The reserve is reasonable for such a superb and desirable copy.
