Brace yourselves, for this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.  In this auction I am offering up the classic 1966 Kinks album "The Kink Kontroversy" (R-6197) in mono...first pressing.......and STILL SEALED.  It has been kept in storage for 43 years, and looks like you just purchased it off the shelf.  If you thought your Kinks LP Kollection was Komplete before, think again.  A true Kinks enthusiast knows just how hard it is to come by sealed mono LPs of this great period of Kinks history.  Many have never seen one, let alone own one.  Well now is your chance, because I am offering it to you in a NO RESERVE auction.  For those of you that simply can't be bothered with bidding, I am also offering a "Buy It Now" price, but remember, as soon as a single person puts a bid on it, the "Buy It Now" will disappear, decreasing your chances of securing this special LP.  After that I will leave it up to all of you to have a good, clean auction where you can all decide on just how much you are willing to put up for an item you will certainly never see again.

By the way, for anyone still sceptical, this is NOT a re-release, NOT a reissue, NOT a counterfit, NOT a cut-out, and NOT a second/third/or fourth pressing.  This is the real deal, folks.  Don't pass this one up, I'm serious.  I really didn't want to have to sell this one at this time, but since hard times have fallen on the city of Detroit recently, I'm finding myself having to sell my most prized LPs just for basic necessities.  If you're reading this auction right now, you have found me at a very rare time indeed, where I need to sell the albums that really define my collection.  Consider the 10 days that this auction is available as a free pass to not only help enhance your own record collection, but to help me personally make it through some hard economic times in Detroit City.  We can both win big on this one, no matter how hard it is for me to part with such an amazing LP.

The Cover:

The cover of this album is for all intents and purposes, brand new.  The shrink wrap has kept this mostly white cover absolutely damage-free.  There are no signs of any wear on the cover except for some slight, very mild corner and edge bumps from storage.   Since it is still wrapped, and has been stored away for 43 years, there are absolutely no signs of fading or discoloration.  This truly looks as new as the day it was purchased off the shelf over 4 decades ago.  The shrinkwrap even still has the original price tag in the upper right corner ($1.59 at Arlan's Department Store for those curious).  The colors have remained deep and vibrant, and the white is still blindingly white with no tanning.  It has obviously never been opened due to the outer shrinkwrap, so you will find a mint condition original Reprise sleeve inside.  The entire package of this album would be impossible to upgrade.  This is the finest this record has ever looked, and the best you will ever see it.

The Vinyl:

The actual LP inside will be exactly what you would expect.  A perfect, pristine piece of vinyl.  Never played, never touched by human hands.  If you ever choose to open it up and listen to it, you will find a mint condition "Tri-Colored Mono" label version of this fantastic LP.  This would be perfect if you make vinyl rips of LPs onto your computer.  There won't be a single pop or click, obviously no groove-wear or distortion, and of course no scratches.  You will literally be the only person on the planet to have ever played it, and the amazing sound you will get from it will validate this.  Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Paypal is my only accepted payment method.  Payment must be received within 7 days of auction's end to avoid re-listing.  I am only able to ship on Saturdays and Mondays due to my occupation, so your item will be shipped accordingly as to when payment is received.  Records will be carefully packed in a 12x12 mailer with record kept separate from sleeve to prevent any damage to either.  I offer insurance on U.S. orders for a cost of $3.00.  Other post office services are available upon request.

Full refunds are accepted, and buyer pays for return shipping cost unless I have made some sort of major grevious error in my description.  Leaving negative feedback will void any returns.
