Kirk Felix - For My Friends (Coward, US 1972) Cover: VG+ (heavy gatefold cover, 2 page bio insert, some ring wear, two top seam splits) Record: M- Rare privately pressed lp out of Laurel, Maryland. Mostly dark, atmospheric folk in a singer/songwriter, coffeehouse direction with some folk psych directions. About half of the tracks are covers of songs by Gordon Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell, Steve Goodman, etc. the others are all originals. There are also some odd echoey spoken parts and a couple of tracks where he is joined by female vocalist Lynn Jacobs. Original songs include "Travelin' Song", "To The Sea/Christine", "For My Love", "Melody For A Friend", "Judy" and "Ballad Of A Summer Girl". Comes in a thick gatefold cover and has the two page bio insert. This is one of those mystery lp's not found on Popsike, Collectors Frenzy or anywhere on the internet in general. No reserve.
