Description
This is the very first album for Kiss, and a very early first pressing. The dead wax reads: "NB 9001 - 60002 2B Bell Sound CTH Joe." I understand this is a very sought-after album for Kiss collectors! The label is a dark blue that has faded to look dark gray or black. The story goes the record company wanted Kiss to include the song "Kissing Time" which was not their song, but the label wanted to release as a single. Kiss was not happy with this, and there was resistance. Since this song was a late entry, there were discrepancies between the cover, the label, and the record itself. This copy does not show "Kissing Time" on the cover, but it does on the record label. However, the song (fortunately) is not in the grooves of the album. I bought this album in '74 after seeing Kiss on TV. I loved learning to play many of their songs, and I took good care of it. The vinyl is VG+, with no noticeable scratches, no skips, and nice quiet grooves between songs. The cover has some wear on the corners, with a slight wear ring on the front. The original inner liner is also included. Same day or next day shipping after sale, in a proper album mailer with bubble wrap, plastic and cardboard protection.
