Original Casablanca Records promotional release of Kiss’ 2nd concert album “Alive II” released on October 14, 1977. This issue features the songs from Kiss’ previous 3 studio albums: “Destroyer”, “Rock And Roll Over” and “Love Gun” as well as containing 5 new songs. All of the album’s songs, except for “Beth” and “I Want You”, were recorded during the band’s concerts in Japan. Original 1st print cover still remains in the original factory shrink wrap. The cover is original and native to this promotional copy despite it not having a gold embossed promo stamp at the top left corner on the back. It was in this combination in particular that this promo copy was stored in the collection of Mr. Beckett, a former DJ of the local radio station in Los Angeles, just like the other promotional copy of Kiss “Dynasty”, also listed at our current auction. The front cover contains an original hype sticker underneath the shrink wrap with the information about the memorabilia that comes in a full set with this promotional copy:

-   An 8-page “The Evolution of Kiss” color booklet

- A merchandise “Kiss Army Wants You” order form

-A Kiss tattoos insert with the application instructions

- 2 custom “Kiss Gold and Platinum” inner sleeves with the Kiss Army Headquarters address at the bottom on the front and the adverts of the band’s previous albums on the back

Pressed at the Columbia Records plant in Santa Maria, CA, this promotional vinyl contains the very early 1st -A2 / -A1 / -A1 / -A1 matrix numbers and very early 1st -1S / -1S / -1S / -1S mother stampers. The full matrix numbers are as follows:

It's extremely hard to find a copy of this album with the cover in a good condition, not to mention the one remaining in its original shrink wrap. The cover of this copy is in great condition and is graded as Near Mint Minus. It's very clean and remains in its original fully intact factory shrink wrap. The top left corner of the front cover and the top left corner of the back cover has a light crease which are more noticeable under a strong light. The top and bottom right corners have a very light ding. The rigid spine contains a fully readable text. We grade the vinyl as Excellent for all of the sides. The vinyl retains its beautiful factory lacquer only having a few super light non-feelable surface marks as well as scuffs from the original inner sleeves, which are in Near Mint condition and don't have any splits or tears. The promotional labels are super clean and in Mint Minus condition, without having any scuffs, wear or spindle marks. The vinyl sounds amazing only having some very light occasional static which most likely would go away if the record was professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. All of the album's memorabilia are unused and in pristine Near Mint condition.
