Klashing With The Clash
LIVE DOUBLE LP Produced from a live radio simulcast (WNEW-FM 102.7) of their legendary performance at New York City’s Palladium on September 21, 1979 — the same performance that Pennie Smith famously photographed the London Calling cover shot of Paul Simonon smashing his bass guitar — this is the most popular and sought-after Clash live recording. And for very good reasons: the sound is professionally graded as a 9 on scale of 10 (or A-), many repressings are made from this recording, and The Clash never sounded as volatile and important as they did here, on their first tour of the U.S. This first pressing copy of Klashing With The Clash is in NEAR MINT CONDITION! The vinyl is in mint condition, but the jacket has a faintly dented lower-left corner (about 1 inch square) with creases and is the only thing preventing me from also describing the jacket as mint. Still, it's choice!
