(Columbia SAX 2460 UK LP 1962)
This is a UK Stereo 1st pressing LP in great overall condition! It has a heavyweight front laminated flipback sleeve which has a large sized "Stereo" on the front. It has its original polythene-lined generic "EMI" company inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has turquoise blue & silver "Columbia" labels. It has 1st press YAX 859-4 and YAX 860-5 matrix numbers.
This is a genuine UK 1st pressing of this rare early 1960's UK Stereo Classical LP. In great overall condition too! Sleeve: There is some moderate rubbing wear on the bottom corner tip at the sleeve opening. This has caused an extremely small 1 cm seam split at that corner tip. There is mild or more moderate rubbing wear to the other three corner tips. There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. This is not that noticeable. There is an approximately 9 cm area of rubbing wear at the centre of the spine. This has caused the laminate in that area to split & peel. There is, however, no rubbing wear to the spine text in that area. The spine text is completely legible. There is some light or very minor foxing on the rear sleeve on some areas. This hardly notices. There is some light, very mild or very minor ringwear on some areas. Overall, Very Good++ condition.
Vinyl: The vinyl looks to be hardly played! It still gleams like new! There are a very few light or very minor sleeve rubs which can barely be seen under a strong light. The inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These, again, can hardly be seen under a strong light. EXCELLENT+ condition. The labels are in Excellent+ condition and show minimal spindle wear only. There is a very minor tear at the outer edge of Side 2's label. This would have been a pressing error at the time. It is not too noticeable. The company inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or more moderate ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.
I have play tested this LP in its entirety. Side 1 plays Very Good to Very Good+ overall & Near Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in the background to a varying degree. It is only really noticeable in the quieter places. It never overpowers the music. Side 2 plays Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall. There is some light, very mild or very minor crackle in the background to a varying degree. Overall, it is a bit of a crackly copy.
However, the audio quality of this LP would be vastly improved by a deep down groove clean in a professional record cleaning machine. Visually the disc looks in Excellent+ condition. It appears to be hardly played & still gleams like new! Therefore, any crackle is just due to deep down microscopic dirt in the grooves. It would, I believe, be a top audio copy after a professional clean. It would remove any crackle.

MINT Condition = A perfect copy! Almost impossible to find like this.
NEAR MINT Condition = Very nearly mint just slightly under, There may be a very few, very light paper surface sleeve rubs that can hardly be seen under strong light. This disc has been played a couple of times at most. The sleeve is virtually perfect - there is very minimal wear only.
EXCELLENT Condition = A clean & tidy copy that shows minimal defects. There will be light, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs. There will be no scratches. The cover will be very nice & clean with maybe minimal creasing, ringwear or edge rubbing wear etc...
NEAR EXCELLENT Condition = You can tell this record has been played a few times, but it has been well cared for. There will be minor surface marks only. The sleeve may have light, mild or very mild creasing,ringwear & very mild rubbing wear to the edges etc.... Overall, it will be a very serviceable copy that you will be pleased with.
Very Good Condition = A well played but very decent overall copy. There will be a few marks on the vinyl, but they won't be nasty scratches, just relatively light needle scuffs and sleeve removal marks, they will be noticeable but won't detract from play too much. Cover will show signs of storage/ ageing, e.g., creasing, slight folding, spinewear, ringwear or sticker tears etc... The record will not be trashed!!

All records will be sent in high quality packaging. All records will be extremely carefully & securely packaged to ensure safe arrival to you. The dispatch time will generally be between 1-3 days after payment. I always remove the inner/ LP from the sleeve & place them, with the sleeve, in a polythene outer sleeve. This will prevent seam splits to the sleeve during the shipping process. I often remove the vinyl from the original inner sleeve & place it in a separate plain paper, or polythene-lined, inner sleeve. I am very conscientious and careful when packaging your records.
