Hans Knappertsbusch / Vienna Philarmonic :- All Time Popular Favourites

Decca SXL.2239, Wide Band, ED1

Tchaikovsky:- Nutcracker

Schubert:- Marche Militaire

Condition of Vinyl:- Strong Clean VG++, just a few minor & very light scuff marks, that do not sound.

Condition of Labels:- Near Mint. minimal spindle marks indicating minimal plays

Condition of Cover:- Light crease top left corner of cover, light wear top & bottom corners on the opening edge. Rear of cover is a little dirty with a small blue pen mark by the spine.

A Very Enjoyable listen, Plays with some gentle surface noise throughout (NOT Groove wear!)

Gradings:- I do my utmost to grade strictly, and prefer the American system to the oft quoted and abused UK record collector system.

MINT:- The record is in brand new (ex factory) condition. with No surface marks. The cover will be perfect, as will any inserts etc. (never used unless it's a factory sealed item.) THe highest grade I ever use is Near Mint. (M-)

VG++ :- The record shows minor signs of having been played, but there will be little or NO lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging, may have slight wear or creasing A great copy that will satisfy the majority of people

VG+ :- The record has obviously been played., but will have no major deterioration in sound quality. It will have some light surface marks, or even the odd LIGHT needle mark. Normal wear & Tear on the cover and any inserts.

PLEASE NOTE:- with regard to the above, The highest grade I EVER give to unsealed vinyl is Near MINT (M- or NM) I try to list only vinyl that I consider VG+ or above, and I know from past experience that vinyl I describe as VG+, would be graded Ex, by many others.....

PLAY GRADING:- When I have the time or I believe the record to be sufficiently rare I will play grade. This is not to give a subjective view of the music, but to give an indication of the quality of the playback.

Turntable currently used is a Rega P25 fitted with a Goldring 1042, and listened to via Spendor S6E's. Please trust me, in that If I say a recording plays/sounds GREAT.. it does!!

PURPOSE BUILT PACKAGING IS USED, WITH STIFFENER'S AND PADDING ADDED WHERE NECESSARY. RECORDS ARE ALSO PACKED SEPARATELY TO THE SLEEVES TO AVOID SEAM SPLITTING.

Please note that the UK post office has altered both it's pricing structure & its prices in the last few months. Please also consider that the price of the stamp is not the cost of Postage & packing..

I always obtain a Certificate of posting. and I Cannot be responsible for Items lost/destroyed in the post. That have not been sent registered or insured...
