Koko Taylor ORIG UK LP I got what it takes EX '75 Sonet SNTF687 Electric Blues


Original UK LP released in 1975 on Sonet Records. Cat: SNTF687.

The queen's first album for Alligator, and still one of her very best to date. A tasty combo sparked by guitarists Mighty Joe Young and Sammy Lawhorn and saxist Abb Locke provide sharp support as the clear-voiced Taylor belts Bobby Saxton's "Trying to Make a Living," and Magic Sam's "That's Why I'm Crying," her own "Honkey Tonkey" and "Voodoo Woman," and Ruth Brown's swinging "Mama, He Treats Your Daughter Mean."

 There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has a few light scuff marks and is in Excellent condition. Cover has light ring wear and marks and is in VG+ condition.


Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
