Hello from Cologne,
I am offering here a copy of the iconic cover of the Philips 1974 edition of Kraftwerk’s "Autobahn", signed by Emil Schult. It’s in excellent condition. See photos.
The record also comes with it, of course: It is in vg+++++ to mint- condition.
But I am primarily selling the signature in this auction. The signature is absolutely genuine, I acquired it from the person who obtained it, I know this person very well. I can not comment on it in any more detail. Anyone familiar with Schult’s signatures will certainly have a very good indication of the authenticity of this one.
The cover is undoubtedly one of the most iconic in pop culture. The image uniquely captures the transition from the postwar era to the modern age by visually blending the naive romanticism of the German economic miracle with Kraftwerk’s precise, technological visions of the future.
