Kreisler Sarasate Violin Recital Michael Rabin German EMI
On “Violin Recital”, Michael Rabin with the Hollywood Bowl Symphony conducted by Felix Slatkin performs Kreisler’s “Caprice Viennois”, and “The Old Refrain”, the Kreisler-Paganini “Moto Perpetuo”, Sarasate’s “Gipsy Airs” plus others by Massenet, Saint Saens, and others. An German stereo pressing on the Capitol Label (C 063-81 646), the record is of very good appearance and plays and sounds superb with a little surface noise. The cover is excellent.
