"A landmark in downtempo head-nodding, Kruder & Dorfmeister’s album of remixes, THE K SESSIONS, achieved fame far beyond the usual DJ suspects. For a while, this was the definitive chill. To this day, it still holds up surprisingly strong, even though their style and vibe has been emulated to near extinction. On the first disc, right from the long, low throbs of Roni Size’s “Heroes” and Alex Reece’s stretched-out “Jazz Master,” you can tell why K are still the kings. From completely slow and dubby to Smith & Mighty style drum ‘n’ bass, they handle it all. The darkness of Rockers Hi-Fi’s “Going Under” is balanced by the out-and-out funk of Bomb the Bass’ “Bug Powder Dust.” And their take of “Rollin’ on Chrome” by the Aphrodelics is some of the best downtempo hip-hop I heard, ever. And, believe it or not, they make Depeche Mode’s “Useless” feel more hopeless than before. The second disc takes a much more chilled approach, with the dreamy tones of Mama Oliver’s “Eastwest” or Sin’s “Where Shall I Turn.” The harder inflections of Bone Thugs ‘N Harmony’s “1st of Tha Month” is transformed into a dub jazz smoker. Their second take on “Going Under” is moody and mysterious. Two original K compositions as well: the slow and meditative “Boogie Woogie” and the interlude “Lexicon.” Essentially, if this isn’t in your collection… there’s something wrong with you."

Near Mint (NM)

Platte mit geringfügige Gebrauchspuren, jedoch ohne Beschädigungen. Es kann Nebengeräusche in der Einlaufrille geben , aber kein Knistern in den Stücken & keine sichtbaren Kratzer, die nicht abzuwaschen wären. Für alte Platten kann man sagen: Man findet sie nicht in einem besseren Zustand.

No damages , extremly minor wear and no noise except maybe in the early beginning. No visible marks, which cannot be washed away. Probably only played a few times so far.For old records: you won't find them in better condition.

Excellent (EX)

Dies ist eine Platte ohne gravierende Schäden. Sie ist aber deutlich als gebrauchte Platte erkennbar. Kein dauerndes Knistern. maximal sehr feine Kratzer, die den Hörgenuss nicht beeinträchtigen. Für den , der sich die Platten zum Anhören kauft, ein excellentes Stück.

For the casual Collector, this is a still a decent record. No Damages , only minor wear, even it is obviously an used record., hairline scratches could possibly be found but, no annoying noises during play must be expected.

Ist mit einer guten Flohmarktplatte vergleichbar. Kann deutliche Gebrauchspuren, aber keine Beschädigungen haben. Es kann knistern geben, aber niemals die ganze Platte über und so, dass es den Hörgenuss beeinträchtigt. Keine Sprünge.

can be compared to a good fleemarket record. can have significant signs of use but no damages. It may be noise but never the whole way trough. No Jumps, No Cuts.

Good (G)

Kann leichte Schäden haben, offene Klebefalz,eingerissene Kanten,ringwear , Knicke etc können auftreten, Die Platte ist aber noch hörbar, Grundrauschen ist anzunehmen, ein zwei heftigere Kratzer könnten auch mal sein aber keine Sprünge.

cover can have some damages,like seams splits, torn , ringwear, folds but not seriously torn or painted in an unbearable way.
vinyl can have continously low level noise, also some scratches might be found.

Fair (F)

kann irreperable Schäden haben, kann aber noch gehört werden. Abhängig vom Musikstil hat der 'casual listener' u.U. noch seine Freude. Evtl. sind einzelne Stücke nicht mehr gut abspielbar.
Das Cover kann eingerissen, bemalt oder oder an einer Seite offen, kann aber noch verwendet werden. Man würde es wohl nicht mehr wegen des Artwoiks kaufen.

can have not repairable damages, but can stiil be listened to. dependen on the music style even enjoyed for the casual listener. [still much better than any mobile telephone integrated music played] . Cover might be torn, painted, or otherweise damaged, but can still be used. You wouldn't buy it for the artwork probably.

Poor (P)

ist wahrscheinlich kaum noch zu gebrauchen oder sieht zumindest so aus, Ein Cover das mit Poor gegradet ist , kauft man in der Regel wegen der Platte, die in einem besseren Zustand ist. Wenn das Vinyl mit Poor gegradet ist, kauft man sie wohl wahrscheinlich wegen dem Cover.
