For sale is East Wind release of Pavane Pour Une Infante Defunte by L.A. 4 (EW-10003).
This first edition pressing from Japan was released in 1977.
As a Direct Cutting release this pressing was cut direct to disc!
The L.A. Four (or The L.A. 4) was a jazz quartet that performed in Los Angeles, California, from 1974 to 1982.
L.A. 4 members included guitarist Laurindo Almeida, saxophonist and flutist Bud Shank, bassist Ray Brown, and drummer Shelly Manne, replaced by Jeff Hamilton after 1977. They performed a mixture of straight-ahead jazz on the "cool" side, influenced by European Classical music, and bossa nova and samba (Almeida was born in Brazil).
Disc plays EX and shows light play wear showing only superficial needle marks, a quiet recording which plays with very very faint hiss, occasional faint pops but mostly amazing!
Jacket is VG+ with minor corner wear, some light storage wear. Has promo sticker for distributor on cover.
