Description
If you have a Real Audio player, you can ((hear)) Hammer Of My Heart on the Take Five label click here to hear the record! La Chords, Hammer Of My Heart b/w On The Beach, Take Five 631. Year of release is 1964. This is a sensational Arizona group record that will be most appealing to Northern Soul, Popcorn, and Doowop collectors. Just listen to the sound byte, and you will hear for yourself. It is extremely rare! This record is signed on the B side by Gene Blue, Al Douglas, and Sam Moss, who were all members of the group (See images below). The record visually and play grades in strong VG condition. Sadly, there is a flaw that takes away somewhat from its value. There is a hairline crack that basically starts at the edge of the record and comes to a halt right before the grooves begin. Although the crack does extend through about 40% of the groove surface, it is more like a stress fracture at the point where the grooves begin. Through the groove surface, it can only be felt by the touch if one is bearing down and specifically attempting to feel the crack. It does not appear that the vinyl where the crack appears has ever been separated. For this reason the crack cannot be heard on either side of the record. This is a minor crack, and if it were any less apparent, it would be relegated to being an internalized crack only. It is quite benign. With proper care, this record should continue enjoy a long life for decades to come and play superbly. Upon doing an initial inspection without bending the record at all, the crack can easily pass for being just a scratch. The record is made of thick, heavy vinyl and not styrene, and this fact enables the record to endure despite this minor crack. Bid on this record to presumably acquire it at a substantial savings over what it would sell for without the crack, plus, it is signed! This record was play graded on an audiophile system employing Basis Ovation, Graham Industries, Transfiguration, Sound Applications, and Jeff Rowland electronics.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------THIS IS ESSENTIALLY A "BID OR BUY" LISTING! Here is how it works. You can choose to buy this record for the Buy It Now price, or you can submit your best offer. I can then either accept, decline, or ignore your offer. I have 48 hours in which I may accept or decline. You can only make one offer during the course of the listing. If you make an offer more than two days before the listing's end, and I do not accept, you can then later only elect to buy it for the Buy It Now price and then only if someone else has not elected the Buy It Now option or made an offer that I have accepted by then. If you make an offer within 48 hours of the end of the listing, I can accept (or decline) your offer with as little as one second remaining. However, if you do not buy it for the Buy It Now price during the course of the listing, someone else may do so before the listing ends or make an offer that I might accept. So, make offers responsible and reasonable. Also, permit sufficient time during which I may still accept. Realize that an offer made within 48 hours of the listing's end still expires when the listing ends. However, if you make an offer, you never know. I may just accept it and say as the song and saying go, "Call Me Irresponsible!" These provisions are within eBay guidelines for fixed price listings with Submit Best Offer features.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------FOR BIDDERS WITHIN THE UNITED STATES: Satisfaction is guaranteed on a money back basis with postage BOTH ways. Domestic buyer assumes responsibility for a $7.00 charge for insured (presumed to be for more than $50) first class mail with a delivery confirmation. Add $1.00 for each additional 45. Insurance and delivery confirmations are required for all domestic shipments. Payments made with these charges subtracted will not be accepted. Only professional packaging materials are used for shipping, and all items are shipped securely and with filler pads; yet, you will not risk damage to the contents because the packaging is too difficult to undo. My packages are easy to open once you start the process, and you will not need a butcher knife or terrorist box cutter to do it with! Virtually all online payment services are available. Due to increases in fraudulent PayPal transactions and resultant chargebacks, items paid for through PayPal will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. I generally always ship on the date I receive cleared funds or within one day thereafter. Personal checks require a hold of ten business days for clearance. All domestic sales must be paid for within seven days of an auction's end. If you do not pay online, and your mail service as a sender is slow, don't bother bidding!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------FOR BIDDERS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES: Uninsured Airmail Letter Post is used for international shipping due to its popularity. Rates are as follows: Canada, Mexico, and Caribbean $5.00; South America $7.00; Europe $8.00; Asia, Africa, and Australia $9.00. Add $1.00 for each additional 45. Due to the high cost of related shipping, satisfaction is guaranteed on a money back basis exclusive of shipping costs. No guarantees can be made for safe delivery, or delivery at all, for that matter, for international shipments that are not sent by registered or insured mail. If you would like registered or insured mail, please e-mail me for rates. The charges stated for international transactions include the fee for a Certificate of Mailing, which is validated and canceled by the United States Postal Service and provides proof that I have mailed an article to you. Also included is a modest charge to cover the additional time and energy required for international transactions, such as correspondence, customs declarations, translations, etc. Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Italian are spoken. Shipping rates are not negotiable! I do not enjoy paying them any more than you do. Please consider when you bid that your shipping costs are part of your total purchase price. Surface mail outside the United States will not be considered. I do not want your record dragged along the ocean floor! Feedback on eBay can only be posted for 90 days. Transactions that involve surface mail have insufficient time during which problems can be resolved that might influence feedback either way. Cash (currency) is acceptable for international transactions but must be sent by registered mail unless otherwise mutually agreed upon. Virtually all online payment services are available. IF PAYPAL IS USED BY AN INTERNATIONAL BUYER, ITEM MUST BE REGISTERED AT AN ADDITIONAL COST OF $7.50. THIS IS BECAUSE ANY BUYER CAN CLAIM THAT HIS OR HER ITEM WAS NOT RECEIVED AND OBTAIN A COMPLETE PAYPAL REFUND WITH A TOTAL CHARGEBACK TO THE SELLER. PAYPAL STATES THAT THE ONLY WAY A SELLER CAN BE RELATIVELY PROTECTED IS IF A SHIPPING METHOD IS USED THAT PERMITS ONLINE TRACKING. THIS INCLUDES ONLY REGISTERED, INSURED, OR EXPRESS MAIL. REGISTERED MAIL IS THE SAFEST WAY TO MAIL ANYTHING ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. BidPay, now with lower rates, or international money orders are strongly recommended as means for payment. PayPal will also be considered if a winning bidder is able to provide satisfaction that a PayPal payment is totally bona fide. Kindly bid assuming that PayPal will not be possible and do not be offended if a request to use PayPal is not granted. This policy provides protection for users as well but only in the sense of someone else's attempting to steal a user's identity. Recent chargebacks due to fraudulent transactions and the lack of any seller protection by PayPal with regard to international transactions has made such a policy necessary. PAYPAL WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FROM THOSE WITH PRIVATE FEEDBACK! Your eBay rating or creditworthiness are not the issues. It is your identity that is at issue, and private feedback impairs the identification process. I generally always ship on the date I receive cleared funds or within one day thereafter. All international sales must be paid for within fourteen days of an auction's end. No exceptions!
