Description
THE HAPPY PRINCE 1969 LP BY THE LA DE DAS. Rare prog-psych from Australia/New Zealand.
Original issue, EMI Columbia label SCXO 7899. Includes the rare lyric sheet insert.
Hand etched in dead wax is YTX 1149 -2 (on Side 1) and YTX 1150 - 2 (on Side 2).
This album is 45 years old and is understandably not perfect. In my estimation it sits somewhere slightly above average for a record of this age.
Vinyl is VG(+). It plays with background noise. There is crackle/surface damage that's especially audible in the quieter parts (mainly the narration by Adrian Rawlins). There are some pops and clicks, (but not many). Vinyl is bright and shiny, but there are some surface marks commensurate with being a used item. Music sounds bright and full. It might benefit from a proper clean, I have only been able to lightly clean it.
Labels are bright, no writing, just some spindle trails.
Sleeve is only rated VG(-) as it shows signs of water damage on unlaminated back cover, and some light ringwear (not too bad, but it's there). Small amount of insect damage on back near opening. Laminated front is fine though, just some light storage wear and some squeeze creases on the spine.
Insert is VG, again because it shows signs of moisture damage (wrinkling in lower quarter, and light residue stains). But there's no writing or tears and it's pretty solid otherwise.
A note regarding shipping. This record will be sent Australia Post Registered International Parcel Mail for overseas sales and Signature On Delivery for domestic sales. This includes tracking but not insurance. If you require insurance please let me know before you send payment, I will work out exactly what the additional cost will be and invoice you accordingly. As a rough guide, international parcels cost around $10 AUD for the first $100 value plus $2.50 AUD for each additional $100 (ie approx $32 AUD per $1000 AUD), and domestic parcels cost about $1.50 AUD per $100 (no base charge).

I use purpose-made LP mailers with "overhang" to protect corners and edges - like Amazon's book shippers but for LPs. I don't use square "boxes" as they don't offer corner protection if dropped.
I'm selling my collection of choice vinyl items, mainly 70s to mid 80s period, but including 1960s and 2000s. Most are in EX and NM condition. Lots of interesting stuff, collected over several decades by a serious music fan. Please see my other listings and check back regularly as I am in the process of listing everything for sale.
I'm happy to combine items for postage savings. Postage gets much cheaper the more you combine. And I always pack extremely carefully.
