...Somewhere at the Bottom would be about 75% less fantastic if even one of the songs were not on the final product. had Dreyer and the band decided to cut a single song, the seam would have been broken and the whole thing would unravel indefinitely.
Four years later, the album holds up to be one of the most durable albums I’ve ever listened to. The lyrics are not targeted to a demographic, but are really so raw and emotional that you can’t help but feel empowered, heartbroken, and stronger all at the same time. The album most definitely stands the test of time and I will always argue this album to be one of the most creative ones of any band.
