Description
Here is your chance to buy a MEGA RARE album by LARRY JOHNSON & NAT RIDDLES which is titled "THE DOCTORS BASIN FREE" and is a great COUNTRY BLUES, DELTA BLUES album and is highly sought after. This album is the original SPIVEY RECORDS LABEL release from 1983 with the paste on front and back covers to the sleeve (LP 1034).
The vinyl is in GOOD condition. It jumps during the first track on one side, and has some marks on the vinyl and the album plays with background noise, but still enjoyable.
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD- condition. This sleeve was made by glueing a front cover and a and back cover onto a plain sleeve. This is how this album was always released in the private pressing type method. The covers are selotaped on, and their is some wear to the sleeve, including a sticker removal mark in top corner but as you can see from the photos, overall it is a nice solid sleeve. If you want anymore pictures of the LP please message me and i will send you some more pics.
THIS IS NOT A PERFECT EXAMPLE, BUT IS A GREAT WAY OF GETTING A MEGA RARE ALBUM AT A GREAT PRICE.
Please look at photos for the item you are bidding for. If you want anymore photos please message me.
The postage costs for this LP as it is a heavy pressing is £4.20 if in the UK (and £1 postage for each additional LP), £7.95 for Europe, Russia and some other countries, and £10.45 for USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, South Korea etc. Please message me to find out combined postage costs if you are not in the UK.
Please take a look at my other items for sale as I have many other LPs of all genres including other BLUES LPS like this at bargain prices. I am selling off a number of my favourite rare LPs. Please message me if you have any questions.
Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
The gradings I use are the record collector magazine gradings listed below with + or - signs to represent slightly better than the grading or slightly worse.
"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler."
