Description
Up for auction is a copy of I Can Hear Music b/w Goin’ Back by Larry Lurex, released in 1973 on EMI, cat no EMI 2030. Larry Lurex was, of course, a pseudonym for Freddie Mercury, and this 45 is his first ever vocal appearance on record. It’s a fantastic record too, featuring an incredible widescreen Phil Spector-esque production. The recordings also feature Brian May on guitars, and Roger Taylor on drums.
Condition: there is a small (less than 1cm) hairline crack, which affects play for the run-in, but is basically inaudible for the rest of play. Otherwise, there are some light marks, and there are some light crackles noticeable, particularly on the quieter b-side, but no jumps or skips. The a-side label has a sticker tear, where it looks like someone has tried to remove an EMI Factory Sample sticker. VG-.
I use a 10-point grading scale: M-, EX, VG+, VG, VG-, G+, G, G-, F, P. I never use the grade mint for used records. I don’t use stock photos: the item pictured here is the item for sale. I grade carefully & pack securely, but if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence! Any questions? Need any more photos? I'm only an email away.
